ah well, nice while it lasted but hosting costs etc..
.. any one know any lore on Ladybug hauntings?
I'll have to start a tally here on the blog..
-1 in my room two weeks ago, set him free.
-1 more in my room for a few days.. hm.. did he not fly away when I
released him? Maybe he came back in.. Set him free when the rain
finally subsided.
-Day before yesterday, released 2 from my bedroom.
-Last night, released another.
-Just got home tonight, released one on my keyboard.
I am a little creeped out. Is this some sort of ghost story come to
life? Mothman Prophesies kind of thing? It was cute at first, Yay!
ladybugs to play with!, but now they're just messing with me.
These are freaking amazing, just tell folks it's more like spiced sweet bready cake if they balk about the squash. Everyone loves these, not just the hippies. Perfect breakfast bread or dessert I've found and it makes the house smell gooood...
Zuke bread / muffins
3 eggs beaten lightly
1.5 cups sugar
.5 cup brown sugar
1 cup oil
2 cups zucchini shredded
3 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Mix eggs, sugar and oil, whisk 'em up pretty well. Grate the about two med zucchinis with a cheese grater if you're proccessor is crappy and dry them well, maybe on paper towels. Mix dry ingredients and add to first eggy mixture. Add zucchini and vanilla last.
Bake at 350 for 25 min in 3/4 full cupcakes thingies ( I use silicone baking cups, two batches made about 20 ) or 60 - 70 min in 2 loaf pans.
Notes: Easily made vegan, mush some flax seed to replace the eggs - easily googleable. You can replace Pumpkin Pie spice with cinnamon, I only used it as I happened to be out of cinnamon.. The spice measurements are rough estimates, but too much could ruin the balance. Last time I made these with only a handful of brown sugar and they were lovely, but use all the sugar first to test it. It's not terrifically sweet full blast anyway. This stuff is a little dense, try whisking the egg whites till fluffy and folding them in next-to-last if you want to lighten it up a bit.
I haven't reformatted my site, torn down and archives all the files, reorganized them into storage and started a new blog at all! Why I've merely started one elsewhere! Fiddle-dee-dee, who is surprised?
No, honestly I just wanted to have a flipping blog to place my hodgepodge while figuring out what I'm gonna do on home base. So if I've sent you here for updates on me in the meantime, check it out and I'll let you know when the sites back in business.
Until next time, here is a crappy video of an inch worm crawling on my bookshelf. He seems to be coming home to his chewed leaf after a jaunt around the cds.
This inchworm is most certainly going to become an evil scary moth someday but for now I'll block that out of my mind and shout "Cute!" at it.
on Haunted by Ladybugs..
